This marks the second match in Rawalpindi to suffer from adverse weather conditions, following the washout of Australia’s encounter with South Africa on Tuesday.
Both Pakistan and Bangladesh had already been eliminated from the tournament after losing their first two group-stage matches.
Pakistan and Bangladesh’s Performance in the Tournament
Hosts and reigning champions Pakistan finished at the bottom of Group A with just one point. They suffered a 60-run defeat against New Zealand and a six-wicket loss to India.
Bangladesh secured third place in Group A after losing to India by six wickets and New Zealand by five wickets.

The next match in the Champions Trophy will see Afghanistan take on Australia in Lahore on Friday. The game is set to begin at 09:00 GMT, with both teams vying for a spot in the semi-finals.
